All U.S. residents age 18 years of age or older are eligible to
participate, except for employees of the Georgia Lottery Corporation
(GLC), BBDO Atlanta, Bass Pro Shops, Comcast TV, Alchemy3, Blue3 ,
WSB-TV, WSAV, WMAZ, WRBL, and WNEG-TV.
Persons belonging to or affiliated with a professional acting or theater
organization, such as SAG or AFTRA, may not participate if such
participation would require the Georgia Lottery Corporation, its
contractors or licensees to pay such person a fee or any other benefit
for taking part in the competition or any programs based on the
competition if televised.
All Outdoor Buddy Challenge teams will be required to complete an
on-line registration form at outdoorbuddychallenge.com between March 3,
2009 and 5:00pm EST on March 31, 2009. Once the registration form has
been completed in its entirety, click the “submit” button. You will
receive an auto-reply confirmation email from
info@outdoorbuddychallenge.com. You MUST click on the link in the email
to confirm your registration before your team is successfully
registered.
After confirmation of your registration, you will receive an email with
your team’s registration number and on-site team check-in information.
Please bring this email with you to the onsite team check-in on April 4,
2009. We will only accept one on-line registration submission per team.
If your team or team members are found to have registered more than
once, you and your team member(s) will be disqualified.
A team captain is the individual responsible for registering a team of
four people into the challenge. The team captain will be the main point
of contact for the team.
We are looking for a team of 4 individuals to represent each team. If
one or more pre-registered team member’s schedule changes and they will
not be present for the competition on April 4, 2009, you may provide
replacement team member(s). Remember each replacement must be 18 years
of age or older and present a valid ID at registration on April 4, 2009.
A team member may not compete on more than one team. Duplicate team
member registrations will result in team disqualification.
Check-in for your team will be held on April 4, 2009 at the Bass Pro
Shops® retail store located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Your team’s
check-in time will be provided to you via email. We ask that you and
your team members arrive on time. Your team can only check-in for the
Outdoor Buddy Challenge if you have previously completed the on-line
registration. Once you have been checked in, you will be given
appropriate credentials including team competition t-shirts and asked to
move to the team competition holding area until the competition begins.
When you arrive at the Bass Pro Shops® Lawrenceville on the morning of
the competition, all team captains must have a copy of their
registration email. All team members (including team captain) must
present a valid driver’s license or valid state issued photo ID and the
signed Publicity & Liability Release form. You will forfeit your
opportunity to compete if all team members do not have the proper ID.
Your team’s check-in time will be provided to you in your confirmation
email. If you are late for your team’s assigned check-in time, your
team assumes the risk of not being able to participate in the
competition. This event takes place in Lawrenceville, GA . Please allow
for significant traffic congestion. There will be ample FREE parking in

The Outdoor Buddy Challenge event will be held Saturday, April 4 at Bass
Pro Shops, 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30043. The
store phone number is 678-847-5500. Check-in will start on April 4, 2009
at your assigned time. Please be prepared for a very long day. The
competition will take place rain or shine.
All teams will compete in round one of the competition. In round one, a
designated team member from each team will compete in one of four feats
(Air Riffle Shooting, Archery, Bait Casting, and Tent Pitching). All
teams will receive a score. The top ten teams with the highest
comprehensive score at the end of round one will advance to the second
round. All teams will compete in the same feats within a certain time
frame. The best teams of the second round will be declared prize
winners.
We encourage you to express your outdoor personality and style, but
please use discretion. Remember you will be outside competing in various
sporting activities. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing. We
will provide each team with competition t-shirt to wear during the
challenge.
Yes. Please bring your friends and family members to cheer you on. The
Outdoor Buddy Challenge will take place in a fun and exciting
environment. There will activities for those not in the competition.
A team elimination process will occur immediately after the first round
of competitions. Only the top ten teams will advance to the final round
and will compete for the grand-prize.
A total of 100 teams of 4 are eligible to compete in the Outdoor Buddy
Challenge. If less than 100 of the pre-registered 100 teams of 4 fail
to check-in by the specified onsite registration deadline, a random
drawing of pre-registered alternate teams of 4 will be chosen to fill
the remaining open slots. A total of 100 teams of 4 (400 people total)
will have the opportunity to compete in the Outdoor Buddy Challenge.
No. Please understand that this competition is based in Lawrenceville,
Georgia. Each team member will be required to have a valid driver’s
license or valid state issued photo ID at competition check-in.
No. Competition in the Outdoor Buddy Challenge is FREE. This is a fun
competition and we encourage teams to register. Your team will receive
appropriate registration documents. Each team member must be
physically present to check-in and you cannot compete without your
registration/check-in documents.
No. Parking is FREE in the designated parking areas at the Bass Pro
Shops® Lawrenceville retail store. You may also park in the Discover
Mills parking lot located very close to the Bass Pro Shops®
Lawrenceville store.
Each team member can obtain the Release Form from our website at
www.outdoorbuddychallenge.com. Each team member must bring the SIGNED
form and a valid driver’s license or state issued ID. Each team member
must read, complete and sign the Publicity & Liability Release form
BEFORE you arrive at registration. Remember you must be 18 years or
older to participate. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and print the form.
The Outdoor Buddy Challenge event will be televised. The Georgia
Lottery, Bass Pro Shops, television producers, and security reserve the
right to ask you to remove any items from the competition area. All
items you bring are your responsibility and we are not responsible for
any lost/stolen articles. Please secure your personal items in a safe

What should I NOT bring with me to the competition?
Bass Pro Shops will provide all tools and equipment needed to compete in
the Outdoor Buddy Challenge event. Personal equipment will not be
allowed in the competition. Please do not bring tents, rifles, fishing
equipment, or bows and arrows.
The list of prohibited items below is not exhaustive and even if an item
is not listed below, the producers event staff, and security reserve the
right to ask you to remove any such item from the venue. People in
possession of prohibited items will be denied participation in the event
and may be subjected to immediate disqualification. All bags are
subject to search.
